TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Last updated: 24 August 2026
These Terms and Conditions explain the rules for using www.dolphinevents.co.uk, purchasing tickets and listing or selling tickets through our platform. Please read them carefully before using our services.
Dolphin Events is operated by Dolphin Creations Ltd, referred to in these terms as “Dolphin Events”, “we”, “us” or “our”.
By accessing our website, purchasing a ticket or listing an event, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our website or services.
1. ABOUT DOLPHIN EVENTS
Dolphin Events provides an online platform where customers can discover events and purchase tickets. We also organise selected events ourselves and allow independent organisers, community groups and entertainment companies to list, promote and sell tickets for their events.
When an event is organised by another company or individual, Dolphin Events normally acts as a ticketing intermediary between the customer and the event organiser. The organiser remains responsible for delivering the event and ensuring that all event information is accurate.
2. ELIGIBILITY AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION
You must be at least 18 years old to create an organiser account, list an event or enter into a legally binding transaction through our platform.
Anyone under 18 may use the website only with the permission and involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
When using our platform, you agree to:
• Provide accurate, complete and current information;
• Keep your contact and account information updated;
• Protect your password and account details;
• Notify us if you suspect unauthorised use of your account; and
• Accept responsibility for activity carried out through your account.
We may suspend or restrict an account if we reasonably suspect fraud, unauthorised use or a breach of these terms.
TERMS FOR TICKET BUYERS
3. EVENT INFORMATION
Event information—including dates, times, venues, performers, age restrictions, accessibility details and entry requirements—is provided by Dolphin Events or the relevant third-party organiser.
We take reasonable steps to display this information accurately. However, organisers may make changes where reasonably necessary.
Before purchasing a ticket, you are responsible for checking:
• The event name, date and starting time;
• The venue and location;
• The selected ticket type and quantity;
• Age and identification requirements;
• Accessibility arrangements; and
• Any event-specific conditions.
Please contact us or the event organiser before purchasing if you require further information.
4. TICKET ORDERS
Submitting an order does not automatically guarantee that it has been accepted. Your booking is confirmed only after your payment has been processed successfully and you have received a booking confirmation or valid ticket.
You must provide a valid email address and accurate contact details when placing an order. If you do not receive your confirmation, please check your spam or junk folder before contacting us.
We may reject or cancel an order where:
• Payment has not been authorised;
• The selected ticket is unavailable;
• The ticket price or event information contains an obvious error;
• We reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised activity;
• Ticket purchase limits have been exceeded; or
• The event organiser instructs us to do so for a legitimate reason.
If we cancel an order after receiving payment, the relevant amount will normally be returned through the original payment method.
5. TICKET PRICES AND BOOKING FEES
The total amount payable will be displayed before you confirm your purchase.
The total price may include:
• The face value of the ticket;
• A booking, service or administration fee;
• Payment-processing charges;
• Applicable taxes; and
• Any optional delivery or additional charges.
Booking and service fees help cover payment processing, platform operation and booking administration.
Whether a fee is refundable will depend on applicable law, the reason for the refund and the conditions displayed when you purchased the ticket.
If an obvious pricing error occurs, we may cancel the affected booking and issue a refund instead of providing the ticket at the incorrect price.
6. DIGITAL TICKETS AND EVENT ENTRY
Most tickets will be delivered electronically to the email address supplied during checkout or made available through your account.
You are responsible for:
• Keeping your ticket and QR code secure;
• Not sharing or reproducing your ticket without permission;
• Presenting a clear and readable ticket at the venue;
• Bringing valid identification where required; and
• Following the venue’s entry and security procedures.
Unless otherwise stated, each ticket permits entry for one person only. Once a ticket has been scanned, copied or duplicated versions may be rejected.
Possession of a ticket does not guarantee entry if the ticket holder:
• Presents an invalid, altered or duplicated ticket;
• Does not meet an age or identification requirement;
• Breaches event or venue rules; or
• Behaves unlawfully, abusively or dangerously.
7. REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES
Unless otherwise stated on the event page or required by law, tickets are generally non-refundable after purchase.
A refund may be available where:
• The event is cancelled;
• The event undergoes a significant or material change;
• The organiser authorises a refund; or
• You have a statutory right to a refund or other remedy.
Please check the event, date, time, ticket category and quantity carefully before completing your payment.
Tickets for leisure activities scheduled for a specific date or period are not normally covered by the standard 14-day cancellation right under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
For events organised by third parties, refunds may be subject to approval and funding by the relevant organiser. Dolphin Events may assist with processing an approved refund where the original payment was made through our platform.
8. CANCELLED, POSTPONED OR CHANGED EVENTS
Cancelled events
If an event is cancelled and is not rescheduled, ticket holders will normally be entitled to a refund of the ticket’s face value.
The refund of booking, service or administration fees will depend on applicable law, services already provided and the terms displayed at checkout.
Postponed or rescheduled events
If an event is postponed or rescheduled, your original ticket will normally remain valid for the new date.
Where the change is significant, the organiser may offer customers the opportunity to request a refund within a specified period.
Other event changes
Performers, programmes, running times, supporting acts and seating arrangements may occasionally change. A minor change will not automatically create a right to a refund.
We will use the contact information supplied with your booking to communicate important event changes. Customers should also check the event page before travelling.
Unless required by law, Dolphin Events is not responsible for personal expenses such as travel, accommodation, parking, food or childcare costs arising from an event cancellation or change.
9. TICKET TRANSFERS AND RESALE
Tickets may be transferred only when permitted by Dolphin Events or the relevant organiser.
Some tickets may be personalised, non-transferable or subject to identification checks.
You must not:
• Resell tickets unlawfully;
• Resell tickets above any limit imposed by law or the organiser;
• Use tickets in unauthorised promotions, competitions or packages;
• Duplicate, alter or counterfeit tickets; or
• Use automated software or bots to purchase tickets.
Tickets purchased or resold in breach of these conditions may be cancelled without entry or refund where legally permitted.
10. EVENT CONDUCT AND VENUE RULES
Ticket holders must follow all reasonable rules and instructions issued by the organiser, venue staff, security personnel and emergency services.
Entry may be refused, or a person may be removed from an event, because of:
• Threatening, abusive or disruptive behaviour;
• Excessive intoxication or drug-related misconduct;
• Possession of prohibited or dangerous items;
• Failure to meet age or identification requirements;
• Unauthorised recording or commercial activity; or
• Conduct that threatens the safety or enjoyment of other attendees.
A refund will not normally be provided when entry is refused or a customer is removed because of their own behaviour.
Some events may be photographed, filmed or recorded. Where applicable, notices at the venue or information on the event page will explain this activity.
TERMS FOR EVENT ORGANISERS
11. EVENT LISTINGS
By listing an event through Dolphin Events, the organiser confirms that they:
• Have the legal authority to organise and promote the event;
• Hold all required licences, permissions, insurance and venue agreements;
• Will provide complete and accurate event information;
• Have permission to use all uploaded names, logos, images and promotional materials;
• Will comply with consumer, advertising, equality, accessibility, health and safety, and data-protection laws;
• Will accept valid tickets sold through Dolphin Events; and
• Will deliver the advertised event with reasonable care and skill.
The organiser must immediately notify Dolphin Events about cancellations, postponements, venue changes, timing changes, ticket restrictions or other matters that could affect customers.
12. LISTING APPROVAL AND REMOVAL
Dolphin Events may review event listings before or after publication.
We may reject, edit, suspend or remove a listing if we reasonably believe that it:
• Contains incorrect, incomplete or misleading information;
• Infringes intellectual property or other third-party rights;
• Promotes unlawful, dangerous, discriminatory or inappropriate activity;
• Creates a risk to customers, the public or our business;
• Breaches these Terms and Conditions or applicable law; or
• Is connected to suspected fraud.
Publication of an event does not mean that Dolphin Events guarantees or endorses the organiser, venue, performers or event.
13. ORGANISER FEES AND PAYMENTS
Commission, platform fees, payment-processing charges, settlement schedules and other commercial conditions will be agreed with the organiser or displayed through the organiser’s account.
Dolphin Events may deduct agreed fees, approved refunds, chargebacks, taxes or other authorised amounts before releasing ticket revenue.
Payments may be delayed or withheld where reasonably necessary to:
• Cover expected refunds or chargebacks;
• Investigate suspected fraud;
• Confirm that an event has taken place;
• Comply with legal or payment-provider requirements; or
• Address a breach of these Terms and Conditions.
Each organiser is responsible for their own tax, accounting and financial-reporting obligations.
14. ORGANISER RESPONSIBILITY FOR REFUNDS
For third-party events, the organiser is responsible for delivering the event and funding refunds resulting from:
• Event cancellation;
• Postponement or rescheduling;
• A significant event change;
• Incorrect or misleading event information; or
• Failure to provide the advertised service.
The organiser authorises Dolphin Events to process valid refunds and chargebacks from ticket revenue held on their behalf.
If the available ticket revenue is insufficient, the organiser must reimburse Dolphin Events for the outstanding amount within the period specified in our request or organiser agreement.
Organisers must cooperate promptly with customer complaints, payment disputes, refund requests and enquiries from payment providers or regulatory authorities.
15. CUSTOMER INFORMATION
Event organisers may receive limited customer information where necessary to manage the event, verify tickets or communicate essential updates.
Organisers must:
• Use customer information only for a lawful and disclosed purpose;
• Keep customer information secure and confidential;
• Not send marketing messages without appropriate consent or another lawful basis;
• Not sell or improperly share customer information; and
• Retain or delete information in accordance with UK data-protection law.
Depending on how information is collected and used, an organiser may act as an independent data controller and have separate legal responsibilities.
GENERAL TERMS
16. ACCEPTABLE USE
You must not:
• Use the website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes;
• Attempt to access another person’s account;
• Attempt to access restricted parts of our systems;
• Introduce viruses, malware or harmful code;
• Interfere with the website’s security or operation;
• Scrape, copy or extract website data without permission;
• Impersonate another person, company or organisation; or
• Use automated systems to purchase tickets unfairly.
We may suspend or terminate access where these rules are breached.
17. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Dolphin Events name, logo, website design, software and original website content are owned by or licensed to Dolphin Creations Ltd and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may use our website for personal and lawful purposes only. You must not copy, modify, republish, distribute or commercially exploit our content without written permission.
Event organisers retain ownership of the materials they upload. By providing these materials, organisers grant Dolphin Events a non-exclusive and royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, resize and promote them for the purpose of listing, selling and marketing the relevant event.
18. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS
Our website may contain links to event organisers, venues, payment processors, social-media platforms and other third-party services.
These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Dolphin Events is not responsible for websites or services that we do not own or control.
The inclusion of a third-party link does not necessarily mean that Dolphin Events endorses that party or its services.
19. WEBSITE AVAILABILITY
We aim to keep our website available and secure, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
The website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, upgrades, technical problems or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We may change, suspend or discontinue part of the platform where reasonably necessary. This will not affect any statutory rights connected with a confirmed booking.
20. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for:
• Death or personal injury caused by negligence;
• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
• Statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
When Dolphin Events acts only as a ticketing intermediary, the relevant third-party organiser is responsible for delivering the event.
Dolphin Events will not be responsible for the actions or failures of an independent organiser unless a loss was directly caused by our own breach, negligence or unlawful conduct.
We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the transaction was completed.
Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by these Terms and Conditions.
21. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL
Dolphin Events and event organisers will not be responsible for a delay or failure caused by circumstances outside their reasonable control.
These circumstances may include:
• Severe weather or natural disasters;
• Public-health emergencies;
• Industrial action;
• Transport disruption;
• Venue closures;
• Government restrictions;
• Security threats;
• Power or internet failures; or
• The illness or unavailability of a performer.
Where these circumstances result in the cancellation or postponement of an event, the refund and rescheduling provisions in these terms will apply.
22. PRIVACY AND COOKIES
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data-protection laws.
Payment and booking information may be shared with payment providers and the relevant event organiser where necessary to complete your booking, verify your ticket and manage the event.
Please read our Privacy Policy for more information about how we collect, use, store and protect personal information.
23. COMPLAINTS
If you have a complaint about a ticket booking, please contact us and provide:
• Your full name;
• Your booking reference;
• The name and date of the event; and
• A clear description of the issue.
When a complaint relates to an event organised by a third party, we may refer the complaint to the relevant organiser and assist both parties in seeking a resolution.
24. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes to our services, business practices or legal obligations.
The latest version will be published on this page with the date it was last updated.
The terms in effect when you completed your booking will generally apply to that transaction unless a change is required by law or is more favourable to you.
25. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Consumers living in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also benefit from mandatory legal protections available in their place of residence and may be entitled to bring proceedings through their local courts.
